HISTORY
Bayou City Exploration, Inc. is a publicly traded company, OTCBB, which was incorporated in May of 1996, under the name of Blue Ridge Energy. In 2005, the company changed its focus from the Appalachian Basin to the Gulf Coast area of Texas and Louisiana.
During that time, market conditions, falling oil and gas prices, and majority ownership positions in failed drilling operations made cash flow difficult, and raised obligations above the Board’s threshold of acceptability. These conditions required the Board of Directors to make the hard decision to shut down operations in Houston, Texas and reevaluate the company’s strategy. The Chairman of the Board at that time, Robert D. Burr, guided the collective decision to bring operations back to Bowling Green, KY and reestablish the Company as a viable entity when the timing was right.
After a tumultuous search for the right leadership, Bayou City hired a new President and Chief Executive Officer, Charlie Bukowski, a long time geophysicist and oil finder. Steve Larkin, who holds impressive qualifications and records of success, was named Chief Financial Officer.
The reemergence of Bayou City is currently under way. As of July 2010, Messrs. Burr, Shea, and Peters resigned from the Board, allowing for new, industry professionals to join in the Bukowski team. Attorney Travis Creed has also joined the Board, which gives credibility and strength to our own internal decision making. We look forward to developing the philosophy under the guidance of Mr. Bukowski, whose successes in the industry far outweigh any drilling disappointments he has experienced.
2010 is just the beginning. Oil and gas will be a necessity for generations to come. Bayou City will strive to be a competitive ally in the quest for future reserves.
ADVANCED 3D SEISMIC DATA
Our team is especially skilled in securing, and managing the reprocessing and upgrading of 3-D and 2-D seismic data. This technological expertise is paramount to successful analysis and selection of prospects with reduced exploration risk. Bayou then develops innovative, cost-effective drilling and completion solutions based on this understanding. Currently, Bayou City’s database has more than 7,200 square miles of 3D data and 13,000 miles of 2D data in our geographic focus area. |
